Been thinking about going dark house spearfishing here soon. Anybody know any good pike lakes with relatively clear water?

Ive gone a few times but never had as much luck spearing as I do on tipups. Actually only gotten a few fish to come in ever and never was able to spear one. Its a lot of work to cut the hole for no fish... Anyone spear west lake by nap? Fish decent size there yet? I know it winterkilled a while back. Decade or so back there were a lot of 8-12lb fish in that lake!
