UPDATE.......

At Sporting Clays today I acquired from a long time friend a very nice, pristine Browning 20 ga Citori. It belong to a deceased lady that used to hunt pheasants. LOP is 13 1/4 inch. As I am somewhat small in stature 5'4" it fit me perfectly. I asked how much? He was grinning and said. "Nothing, use it until you are done shooting clays."
At 79 I may not have it for long. But I plan on shooting it starting tomorrow.

Sadly Tom told me his illness kept him from forfilling his contract with benelli so benelli U.S.A. shut down his show and sponsorship, he was a heavy smoker and lung cancer took his life,man the stories he had. He had a redneck side kick towards the end Tim something? Thought he would carry on the tradition but disappeared.

After Tom parted ways with Benelli. Tom went on to shoot for. CZ-USA. Tom was shooting the CZ 712.


Tom was the Host of the Benelli Bird Hunter and retired in 2010.

Tom was in St Mary's Hospital in Rochester when he passed. He was waiting for a lung transplant at the time. Unfortunately he had a heart attack before the transplant could happen. Tom and his wife and myself and my wife had a trip to Argentina for doves the same spring he passed. We spent many days in his backyard practicing. After Benelli axed his show he spent a short time shooting Mossberg before landing a gig with CZ-USA. He once told me that he would shoot a broomstick if they paid him enough. His Benelli is in the Museum in Cody, Wy. He is missed.

Interesting story agreed Tom has been missed,I remember Tom shooting for cz,but he shot his benelli m1 when I squaded with him he loved benelli.I could tell it hurt Tom when they canceled sponsorship when he told me the back story,on his show he claimed never whispering during video hunts,he had that deep guteral laugh.

Are you Tom's marine vet friend that traveled with Tom for his events that cleaned and serviced his shotguns on the road? Curious
