Sounds like you may be right this year Kurt. With the storm not really impacting central ND too much it looks like they may pile up in ND and give you guys the finger this spring……

Not a Snow but this is something you don't see everyday. I just came across this video is from a couple years ago

On rare occasions over the many years have seen them sitting on electric/telephone poles and fence posts.

Not a Snow but this is something you don't see everyday. I just came across this video is from a couple years ago

We see them sitting in cottonwood trees in the river bottoms all the time. There was a nest up in a giant cottonwood near Stanton last spring.

Yep, seen it on the river many times. Also seen them land on apartment buildings in the twin cities.

39. GEESE. Light geese include snow geese (white and blue phase) and Ross’s geese. Light geese may be taken statewide from February 15, 2025 - May 11, 2025. There shall be no daily or possession limit on light geese.

With this full moon it’s been non stop geese coming over tonight
Agreed kurt, darks and swans staking out nesting territory on the smaller ponds,sandhills,robins,doves...even started swatting flies,now a ball buster snow storm rollin in.ugh.

No snow for us we would take every bit been some years since it has been this dry already fires all over. They were still rolling in the dark this morning while out for a walk.
