Spring Snows

Waves and Waves around Ashtabula as of two days ago. Saw several flocks of a thousand or so on the way to Fargo from Valley City yesterday. Go Get'em!!!

There have been big numbers all the way down to 94 last week and know a few guys who saw big numbers as of Tuesday up north so definitely possible. This has actually turned out to be one of the longest periods of time that big numbers were in the state in spring since the season started.

I spent the week reallocating the global positioning of surface aggregate on public thoroughfares (blading county roads) this past week up here in Burke County. Monday and Tuesday I saw several hundred snows but Wednesday and Thursday I didn't see any flying off the refuges or in the fields.

Forgot to add did see a whitetail doe with last years triplets still following her. The fawns were really small and if it had been a bad winter I don't know if they would have made it.

Dean, I notice u follow the snow goose very tightly. Have u hunted these birds this spring?

This was the best spring for birds being around for a long time that i have seen. It was a fantabulous light geces spring!

No I got sick of the mud and BS a few years back so tend to fish in the spring now. If in my fishing travels I come across a good looking set up with bad weather I might get tempted but that hasn't happened in awhile.
