I load my backpack up and do hill runs. That really gets the heart pumping. Plus i have my spotter and binos and bow with which makes it even more fun.

I drink beer and shoot out the truck window year round so I'm never out of shape.

It's not a bad thing to spend time regularly running on snow and gravel. Not only is it a lower impact surface (easier on your joints than concrete), you flex a lot of small muscles in your ankles, legs and back trying to keep a steady footing. Working out these little muscles increases your strength and reduces the likelihood of an ankle sprain or similar injury during hunting season. Of course, you run the risk of slipping and injuring yourself when running on snow and ice so it's a double edged sword. When spring comes and you have to run a long race on pavement it'll be much easier than if you spent all winter training on a treadmill or indoor track.

Gym 5 days a week. And I'll also go for runs/hikes/bike in the warmer months.. I switch things up throughout the year and focus on cardiovascular closer to Sept and weights now. I will haul the weighted pack to the gym and spend half hour on some stair stepper deal when it gets closer to hunt time, among other things.. Since about Thanksgiving my food and booze consumption has apparently kicked the gyms ass as the jeans have gotten little tighter. Come February I intend to cut-out all alcohol for the month and drop some pounds. Hopefully....

I drag my portable ice house around, take the dog out for 1 hour walks and take the .22 out on off time and chase rabbits for 2 or 3 hr. Can't stand just sit around the house drives me nuts.

Ive done a couple rounds of p90. I like the program and seen some great changes. I don't like the idea of having to buy the weights/bands but the cost of them will be offset I'm no time when considering the cost a gym membership. I don't like kettle balls because of the stress they place in be lumbar spine.

Moderation......everything in moderation. Several members of my unit are into this cross fit stuff and they have ALL gone down to injuries that put them out for at least 6 weeks and some longer. One ripped his bicep off the bone, one blew his ACL, one herniated a disc in his back, and one tore his rotator cuff. Who knows what else they've torn, pulled, damaged, or strained. All of these guys are over 40 and in pretty good shape, but forgot they aren't 21 anymore. There's a big difference between PAIN and DISCOMFORT. One means somethings going wrong and the other means something is going right. Be Safe Guys!!!!

Did P90X for about 6 weeks and then my knees and shins started bothering me from all the jumping. Also HATED doing the yoga, hour and a half is too long. Works good if you can do the program how it was intended and not puss out on some of the exercises. For sale if anyone wants it. Went back to working out in the gym first thing in the morning and wouldn't do another home exercise program again, but that's just me.

I hit the gym every day at 5:00 am. Then I run or ride bike at noon. My goal for the summer is to be able to run a full marathon and be able to bench press 350 at the same time.

I do a lot of backpack hunts. Being in shape makes them a lot more fun.
Someday you'll step on your cape and slip and break your neck;)

T25 is a decent home program. The workouts are fast paced and 25 minutes long. When I'm not so lazy, I like to lift weights for a bit and use the T25 as a cardio burn.

Yeah probably would like going to the gym too, but live in a town without a gym and the nearest town with a good gym is 65miles away. Limits some of my options, thats why ive been looking for something with minimal equipment and can be done at home

I would recommend Insanity then. Own P90, Insanity and t25 and just prefer insanity over all others. T25 is too easy. P90 is too long and requires more equipment and likeep mentioned, yoga can go right to hell I did that one once and skipped it from there on out. Insanity is a good compromise and they also focus a lot on core and legs which is good. Requires no equipment.

i much prefer p90x because its more "manly" workouts. I hate cardio, so if i can be tricked into doing it through lifting that's a good thing for me.

all you need is a pullup bar and some resistance bands

Funny thing is I would be fat and lazy if it wasn't for hunting. I only work out to be in shape for hunting. And if you are gonna do it u might as well try to look good too. :D
