What structural features are you looking for during the late morning or early afternoon lulls when chasing walleye/perch? I found a few areas that look promising but want to see what everyone else does. The areas that I found are in 30+ feet with sunken islands on the edge of steep drops, and big benches in the middle of steep drops.

What other types of structure do you focus on during this time frame?

On Sak, those would probably be good areas to start with. I haven't tried it a lot (twice), nor had a lot of success when I've tried it. So maybe those aren't the best spots haha.

Just off of structure you would fish morning/evening should be good too. I don't think the walleyes travel far off the structure, just slide off deeper, or if its deep structure, they move laterally and end up suspended. I have seen walleyes on morning/evening spots at all times of the day though too. Moving around a lot and scouting with a camera is the way I would approach midday walleyes on Sak.

Here are two examples of some areas that I'm looking at.
