I picked up a Bear Creek Arms 300 Blackout 16 inch Bolt Action. I'm amazed at how well it shoots. And how quiet it is compared to the gas version.

Shooting Subsonic rds with Berry 220 gr at 100 yds was a 1.75 group and shooting Sierra 110 gr Supersonic shot great.

Top target 220 gr Berry you can see first shot top of target. Second 4.5 down and 1.5 right. Then 3rd 4th and 5th shot.

Bottom target Sierra 110 gr HP.

I rebuilt my backstop this morning. I use railroad ties and went 5 ties deep and 6 ties high.

220 GR Sierra Round Nose
11.4 gr AA 1680
CCI 400
1x Federal Brass
~1050 FPS from 16" barrel.

A while back I bought some Berrys 220's for plinking, but haven't tried them yet. Pretty cheap though.
I was gonna say, go with a flat nose or round nose if you dont wanna pay $$$ for engineered subsonic bullets, if you really wanna get fancy, drill the nose out a little with a drill press for added expansion.

I have multiple BCA uppers. All of them have been decent for the most part. The .17 hmr cannot get too dirty. I've been seriously contemplating trying one of their bolt action ones. Maybe a doe slaying 6.5 Grendel?
