The silver lining is that if any of those people were in dire need of help they have the resource to get it almost anywhere in the world.

It's frowned on during family gatherings and if boys happen to get a text at the table they read and reply under the table. We recently babysat our grandkids for a week and they have a rubber coated screen thing with a handle on it , The youngest in preschool knows how to use it by herself and all the kids would facetime their mom and dad and that was it. There is a time and place for them to play games IMO . One of our grandsons is a ball of energy who can't sit still so he was getting into trouble with school bus driver . His parents got him a handheld game that he is only allowed to play on the school bus and it occupies his bus ride. It's a tool that works like a charm for those moments.

Sooner then later humans will be able to control our everyday electronics with our bodies, either by thoughts or gestures with our hands or eyes.

In the movie 6th day with Arnold, there is a part right at the beginning of the movie that shows a qb who has a helmet that is able to determine based on the defenses formation that a sack is most certainly coming. Today we actually have this technology in the form of a smaller transparent lense, the lense fits in front of eye usually in the upper corners of the mask where it doesn't effect your overall field of vision. The lenses is capable of relaying information like a play from your offensive coordinator.

This type of technology has been used for years in the military, for example helicopter pilots have a special helmet that allows the pilot to operate a high capacity machine gun just by moving their head.
