Thought I'd start one. Post your dogs, current and former, here.

Weimaraner/Golden Retriever mut and a MACHINE in the field. Very smart, does tricks, very protective of mom and kiddies, can digest anything (ask me how I know), more personality than any human I know.

Almost forgot about out newest edition diesel he is only a year old and likes to walk or ride in the vest pheasant hunting not gun shy at all. He is a fun little shit to have around the house or riding with while looking for deer.

Here are my 2 English Setters:

Buck will be 13 years old in May, so his hunting days are done. Overall he's in good health, and enjoying retirement.

My younger Setter, Tyson is 7 years old. His favorite hobbies include hunting, retrieving, and looking for birds while laying in the sandbox in the back yard.

First up, Rocky-dog aka Moose the 100+ lb. shorthair. He wasn't ever much of a retriever, never was trained to be, but damnit could that dog point birds. There were times my dad would get downright pissed at him because he would hunt behind us and hold up on point. No way there's a bird there we'd say. Walk back to find out otherwise. He had a heck of a personality too. Always proud of his catches, one time bringing a dead squirrel to the patio door so we could see. Miss that guy!

Next up, the most interesting dog in the world. He swears he's people. Doesn't care for other dogs and doesn't care for guns either. Will point birds on his own, but as soon as the guns are out of the safe he finds other plans. Allergic to 23 common things including dust, wheat, and beef. I guess I love him anyway. Remmy.

LLEGEND.jpgMWD LLegend(Narcotics/attack) The last dog I worked before getting out of the USAF. His named is spelled with 2 L's because he was born is the Militarys puppy program.
BEN.jpg
This is MWD Ben...I worked him for 4 years until his retirement and passing. My first dog that I ever lost while in service. Love this dude!
ORAN.jpg
MWD Oran...My very first military working dog and best working dog! Saved my life one time by protecting me against a guy that beat up my partner which then the guy came after me...needles to say Oran gave that guy a few more holes in his arm and both legs.

You had a really cool job K9. How did you fall into that?
Something Ive always wanted to do, In the USAF you have to meet certain requirements and apply for it. Love that job...that's the only thing I miss about active duty
