Thin ice!

Stump only has about 5 inches of ice along the East side.

Should be making good ice this week hopefully. How was the snow cover on the ice?

I was on a little lake west of GF this weekend with 10" in the area I fished.

This was on Saturday, so the last few days should have put a few more inches on hopefully. Snow cover on the lake is very minimal.

The driving on early ice thing doesn't surprise me at all. 10" average will hold a half ton without issue, the problem is ice consistency. The snow has made a nice little blanket and it doesn't take much to effect the ice. What blows my mind is the guys that come out, drill one hole and strike out across the lake aimlessly assuming everywhere is the same. That's crazy to me.

I hit Audobon again tonight. One keeper and a handful of little ones. Game Warden stopped by my shack at 6:30 pm to check my license. First time I've ever been checked ice fishing.

I had just finished using my bait bucket as a toilet in the little ice tent when the zipper opened and a female warden peaked her head in wanting to see my fishing license. I had just zipped up and know it stank like a French whore house in the tent...haha, she didn't stick around long.

This was on Indian Creek, south by Regent. I had a couple 14s on the outside of the tent so she didn't need to look in my new shit bucket...haha, I put a walmart bag in the bucket prior so I could seal it up and put it in mrs johnrs back seat when I got home...
