To Rural Dog Owners.

Please keep you dogs locked up or under control. Been out the last couple nights looking to smack some moonlight coyotes and I've had no less than 4 dogs in the crosshairs running in the middle of nowhere. The coyote breeding season is here and the females are in heat, drawing out the males more than the females. Just a freindly reminder.

Great advice. Daughter in a newer section of Overland Park, KS had one coming into the neighbor about 20 yards from their house. Now when their dog has to go outside he is on a short lease. Also her friend in Apple Valley, MN dog was attacked and killed in their yard. They run the coyote off before he could dray the little dog away.

There are way too many coyotes all over.

If dogs are harassing your pets or livestock ND law allows you to shoot them. The best thing to do if you see dogs running at large that are not on your property is to alert surrounding ranchers and sheriff and problem will end.

Not to mention all the snares you have out on your property. That would suck to find Fido choked out because some no-good owner doesn't know how to keep his dogs in the yard.
