Claiming that Toby single handedly took down the best Dakota website in the history of the world is bull crap. I would have liked to have actually heard from the owners of FBO and asked them, “what was the agenda for all the drastic changes done within a couple of years?”

No, I believe it was a calculated change that upper management wanted it to be done that way and besides those who asked to be deleted or banned what does that say about who you are as a conservative? Toby was a tool to rid those who did not toe the line in what was considered to be ok by upper management. Some got away with way more than others did, which was the real issue when punishment was handed out with double standards.

I asked Tim about taking down a picture that I should have never used, but Tim told me he would not take the picture off, he said that he tried to keep order on FBO but was always getting crap from those who refused to follow the rules. He hated being the bad guy especially when he knew that he was good friends with so many of the members.

FBO is still up and running with people still sharing their love for the outdoors. In fact now that Quincy has no one to debate with it is peaceful which is why some of the members stay there and not here.

So Johnr with all that ramble of ideology are you going to allow your life to be influenced by someone who is no longer important to your existence?

A couple years you mean 2 months. It must have just been coincidence it happened when Toby showed up. It was when Tim quit and the clown show ensued. If this was there plan it is the worst ever seen in the history of web site management. Posts stay on the front for months not hours like before hits equal money as we have been taught. So it is still there but it is like comparing Ali of today with Ali of the 60's.

Toby had a few little elves whispering in his ear about the "bullies" and "tea baggers" and such, in a message he sent me he kinda slipped up on spillin the beans on that one.

FBO also has people still in charge that set standards for behavior and then picked and chose who they were going ot hold accountable for not following them.

Contacted them and never did hear back exactly which of the golden rules I broke.

Did open an account again over on Nodak Outdoors to address some false claims made directly towards me. Broke exactly zero rules and the "moderator/elf" there gave me the ax in I think two days. Removed the hand full of posts I made setting a record straight.

I guess now a days pointing out how someone's ideologies are and calling them a liberal or actually speaking the truth and calling a spade a spade is being a "bully".

Those two sites chose the bed they wished to lie in and now, as has been said, the crickets are the most active ones there.

With the resurrection of this thread "That other site" will probably quintuple the number of hits they get for a week as NDA'ers "remember" that site exists and go check to see what it looks like. They might hit 10 bucks in advertising payments this month.

Honestly since joining here I hate FBO.... it's a dead zone... but I'll post my videos there occasionally as well here and it saddens me that FBO draws in more;:;popcorn



In reality FBO must be really really good at drawing in search results from Google... I agree it dosnt make sense with 1k views and 1 comment....views have to be coming from external places like google searches and I bet 99% of those views are just "visitors" that don't have an account.

It really is the case that, given an alternative, most people avoid being jacked around by those with super crappy social skills. Weird, I know.

Ah hell, don;t be so hard on yourself, you have gotten MUCH better from the old FBO days.

It is true though, son stuck a nice buck put a pic on FB and even with his sarcastic dads sarcastic friends I don;t think he had anyone bitching about much of anything.

Nodak Outdoors failed for one reason, becasue there was a moderator that banned people he did not like or agree with.

FBO failed for one reason. People realized there was a moderator they could whine to that would ban people they did not like or agree with.

I think the current moderator on here is smarter than that.

I don't know for sure but some members carry on to past resentments like they're a badge of honor. It's funny how some members only point to come online and post is to rehash old scores of past arguments, gst you hit the nail on the head when you pointed out the exact same people who had a problems over on fbo still have the same pissy poor attitude over here. The same cliques who ganged up on certain members are the same ones here nothing has changed its like they believe this site is there's and if you don't join the clique and gang up on all those who don't follow the group they make it as miserable as possible for you to post topics that who find interesting then those members quit posting. And when certain members bicker between themselves that nda/fbo mob clique of members need to make it about them, then the clique wants those members banned becuase that think those members are going to ruin another site. I could go on and on and on and on but at the end of the day I am still here posting because unlike family we can pick our friends.

Ps one more thing that was nice about fbo is the get togethers they had which I never got to go but of course if we wanted a mini ice fishing tourney get together we couldnt all agree on a centrally located spot and plan ahead of time. Nope never happen too many members with chips on thier shoulders for all the world to see.

Lunker, I know you're referring to me. You're absolutely right. I don't like you. But after my home was broken into and many belongings were stolen, you decided to berate me and celebrate the act. I will always let that define who you are as a person. Someone whom I have zero respect for. Like you and a few others, I wouldn't waste my own piss to put your burning body out. Respect goes a long ways and most times it can never be rebuilt. And don't be fooled. We have plenty of get togethers. One is just a couple weeks away.

One takeaway from the last few days. I don't see a lot of the more common members posting anymore. I know of some that refuse to come on here anymore. When those things happen, I know this place is changing into our previous gathering ground. Something I don't think Vollmer deserves.
