I have really liked my cabbed SXS. Have had a Polaris RZR with tracks for about 9-10 years now. She has been good to me with only oil changes and a belt replacement just because of wear. I love a cab sxs for searching in tough conditions. I just turn on my big buddy on the passenger floor and jig out the door. Blocks the wind and adds heat when running around looking for fish. Pulling a flip over behind for when a guy wants to set up isn’t so bad either. It’s no snobear, but works pretty darn well and it goes over snow way better than a full size sxs due to lighter weight and shorter wheel base. You give up cab space and some comfort, though.

no belts on Honda sxs!! :)

I'm surprised on how my 1000 Honda Pioneer moves snow around the yard here. Snow over the blade pushing it up on the blvd, pushing the pile on the blvd that is over the cab of the SXS. Blade/winch is heavy up front so i dumped 350-400 pounds of tubed sand in the box to offset the blade weight. Works pretty good so far.

Looked at tracks, prices, have a wide enough trailer if i do get 'em. so far no need yet.

I had a sled before, but its tough to fish with the wife and my daughters 6 and 8 one one snowmobile. Plus i can drive the ranger in the summer. I also will get skis for my hard house and be able to move that around all next year with the ranger and not my pickup. I did get a steal of a deal on the ranger was an older gentleman that wanted to move up to the new one with AC in it. I am extremely happy with what i have and what it will do.

Just had a tracked foreman over on Fort Peck for 3.5 days. It was pretty awesome to stay up on top of the slush instead of breaking through. My buddy with tires was always breaking through and in the slush.
Also, the extra traction helps a TON when moving heavier loads (like a aluminum skid house).

Looked at side by sides the other day and man they get expensive. Some of them are just as much as my truck when it was new. I am contemplating moving up to a Honda Pioneer 500 and reusing my atv tracks. Two seats would be nice.

The only bad thing is sleds need snow on the ice to run them. My wheeler with tracks is almost impossible to get stuck
Have you checked into it, I was told before that the atv trks are not doable on sxs.

I also like the idea of no belts. Did they kinda get some of the air leaks sealed up in the Pioneer? I rode in a 2016 and was kinda disappointed in that. Still leaning towards the Honda though. They are a beast.

It is not advised to use the atv tracks on the sxs models but it is doable. The pioneer 500 is not much heavier than a wheeler so I am not concerned about the small amount of added weight. I know a guy who runs them on a 700 without issues but I’m sure it will not handle abuse.

Nice thing about Honda is they make parts forever and are bullet proof if you keep them maintained. They will outlast Polaris any day just ask some engineering survey crews.
