Venison over the campfire

I've done this with bear, deer, and beef.

Cut into bite size pieces and marinate in Southwest McCormicks for a day. Roast them with marshmellow forks. Thumbs Up

You know, I think almost anything cooked over an open fire is always better! I'll have to try something like the above now. As soon as I get my yard in, I am hoping to have a fire pit of some sort.

Couldn't agree more ... anything over an open flame is better ... much better.

I should have called this thread campfire cooking as I'm always looking for ideas. I do a bit of cast iron cooking. One of my favorites is sausage gravy on pizza crust cooked on cast skillet. Dr. It up with whatever fixings ya like. Weber grill lid fits my cooking grate perfect and helps hold some smoke.

I've made the breakfast pizza using the crescent roll dough. If you use the triangle pieces, just piece them together to form a solid piece.
