Agreed LB,last summer my local gun range mine'd the trap range, scooped up over 150 tons of lead most if not all found within 12"s of surface,then they had a giant "shaker" to separate the sand etc before smelting.quite the operation.

When I was a kid my Dad would take us to the local pistol range to dig lead bullets, sell at Porter Bros for 2cents a pound, then go to DQ for a 10 cent dilly bar.
