Retired guy- LCM is lost circulation material used when you are drilling and hit a void/fracture to try to plug it. usually bags of wood chips or cotton seed hulls or cedar fiber.

Snow , I had to google it. I remember filling mine with compressed air once and they got tight on my feet.

According to wiki. "Both Mickey Mouse boots and bunny boots have an air valve on each of the boots. These air valves must be opened prior to flying to ensure that the air pressure differential between the walls of the boot and the outside air does not cause the boots to rupture."

I always thought Alberta Clippers were a type of snowstorm that usually tracked down through Alberta. Due to their nature, extreme cold usually followed.

Dad used to have a pair of the mickey mouse boots when I was a kid. I've always heard they were the best for extreme cold because the insulation was sandwiched between rubber and couldn't absorb moisture from sweat or external water. Your feet get wet from vapor but even the water stays warm because the insulation stays dry. Davey beat me to it the valve is to equalize pressure when ascending to prevent the rubber membrane around the insulation from rupturing.

Here in balmy western nd, we have wind, or really windy. No such thing as a calm day, unless you define calm as 25mph winds with gusts of 40.
