I don't get this idea of a 40mph wind gust. Hell we have higher gusts than that regularly out here!

Glad no serious injuries.
Not sure if big fan of Gov cutting a bunch of FAA employees with all the plane accidents lately. No idea who,or what dept they are cutting from though, just my personal thought.

I like the one vid where the passenger is rolling his carry on out and the rest have back packs --- that would be me i can just see it now.

Looks like a hard landing to me


I'm curious about the fire on touch down plane came in hot but didn't bounce for an extreme hard landing.

Another plane crash today in geogia,pretty sure my airline days are over for now.. apparently the pilot seasoned F18 pilot so coming in hot is his deal....sure makes one think about flying these days,ive always been a nervous Nelly flying.

Looks to me like the landing gear failed and then the wing got ripped off when it hit the ground. The fire is fuel in the wings being ignited. The wings ripping off and away from the fuselage actually helped keep the fire away from the passengers.
