So do you guys think there is any chance that the Keystone pipeline will go in? I know Trump approved it going forward but I don't believe any large pipeline is going in anywhere in the US or Canada for awhile. I don't think any company will want to invest the money only to find out that pressure from the wack-job protesters can shut down the operation. Even if Keystone gets approval to start, they won't be able to finish it before the next election and if a Democrat gets voted in, it will be shut down.

I assume you mean Keystone XL, because the Keystone is pumping crude alongside the red river valley and has been for a couple years.

eyexer,What is the BIA doing? Keep in mind the BIA is funded with federal monies/grants,our monies as tax payers, pisses me off when they (bia) roll up with their BIA plated trucks we pay for monitoring the gill netting on my walleye lake, then turn a blind eye when the natives setup cleaning stations on our public access and fail to enforce harvest quota's per tribe,"just show me da money folks, business as usual because we can! is their attitude.

I'm not sure what your asking. As far as the protest goes they are there to remove people from the other two camps over the next few days or a week. They have set up check points at the camps. they aren't letting anything it except basic food/water requirements. No more large loads of propane, materials, supplies, etc. sounds as though the residents of the camp are starting to clean their camps up and will be leaving shortly. They will also start seizing property that is there fairly soon if it isn't removed. Ladonna Allard always claimed to be the owner of the land the one camp is on and insisted they could stay. Turns out she owns like 1/15th of that land. The rest is owned by the tribe. Tribe gave her notice that they were evicting the camp. Of course she is fighting. I would also suspect that Trump told the BIA to get their asses down there and clean the place out or your budget will be cut in half.

Why wouldnt they be able to if they get cleared for it once the court rules on it which would probably be under 6 months. it only takes about 10 months to build it once a proved and all their gear is still staged ready to go. If I was them if I got approved the first thing I would do is install any section that the federal government has any say in just so they can't back track on it.

That is one big ass pile of pipe laying down by bowman.

It may or may not get built. There are three large pipeline projects proposed out of the oil sands region and only enough projected capacity for 2 of the projects to go in. The first two built will win the the third project will most likely be cancelled unless there is an unforseen increase in production.

the third one will probably see bakken oil also. You'll see an increase in production here pretty rapidly when the $8 a barrel deduction ends because of these pipelines.

They always say they are going to do that but I for one would love to see how that works considering the two types of oil are polar opposites from each other. Putting the lightest grade of crude oil with shit that is so thick they have to literally thin it out just be able to get it to flow must make for some interesting start up and shutdown maneuvers.

Bakken oil will not make Keystone XL profitable as the feed leg cannot fill the main pipe. They would have to ship the different types of oil in separate batches as they are not allowed to mix. Operation wouldnt be too difficult or else they would t have proposed it. If and, I mean a big if , Bakken production booms again and fills all the pipelines you will see DAPL expanded by adding additional pumping stations. Whether Keystone XL is built is not so black and white.

Keystone XL is the only pipeline I have ever been against , It was a defense thing in my mind to keep Canadian oil that is more landlocked than North Dakota oil off the world market to sustain prices. That doesn't matter much more with the recent discoveries and we will enjoy cheap fossil fuels for many years to come. Building an XL for bakken oil would be a blessing though.

Man , I'd have to dig but I think I remember more like 6 or 7 % ? what ever it was it was just enough to lube them up while they were giving us the shaft .

Some of them moved to private land on SRST. Some of them already had camps established in Rosebud, SD, but they've since been evicted as well. That camp in Rosebud left quite a pile of trash behind, too.

The initial cleanup of the Oceti Sakowin expense came in this morning. ONE MILLION DOLLARS!!
