Found these in an old tool box and have no idea what they are for. They have a ratchet mechanism on the side to hold them in place and some funky ends. Anybody got a clue? Thanks!

Cricket Training Bat. If you don't hit the ball square it doesn't go where you want it to.

Or, a butter churn stick.

Seeing various cooking methods from numerous places in the world, that wooden thing kind of looks like some of the wooden utensils they use for baking breads and other similar goods. They use them for sliding the loaves in and around in the clay ovens they used.

Looks to me like someone was doing some lathing and only took the roughed out piece of wood so far and stopped. Does the angular section still have the centered circular dent left from lathing?

No. This was definitely used for something back in the old days. Thought an old timer on here might have used one before.

looks like it could be a push stick for an old weaving loom to push the shuttle through the weave to the person on the other side ? what's the history behind it ? there should be two of them if that's what it is. we had a loom when I was a kid, it was a 6' and only strung up to 3' to make rugs but I remember it had two pushing sticks that we never used.

Nope there's just this one. Found it in the basement of a 100+ year old farm house.
