When our snow disappears, we are likely to continue to see a few starts here and there. I was on a call yesterday where "zombie" fires were brought up. In general, these zombie fires are smoldering remains of fires left over from last summer. I didn't hear an estimate for how many zombies are out there, but it sounded like they expect quite a few to flame back up when Canada loses its snow cover.

We are due. I remember many days getting rained out doing construction projects years ago.
Does not happen much anymore.
