Another crap-ass weed that is really prevalent at my place is baby's breath (that ornamental weed florists give with your flowers).

What is a good spot spray recipe for baby's breath? Someone, anyone?

Baby's breath is a nasty one. I would try Plateau/Tordon mix if you can spray Restricted Use. But be careful, that mix can produce scorched earth. Maybe start with 2,4 D? I've never tried milestone on it.

Alot of times the issue isn't your property, its everyone around you. Tough to manage for weeds when you are surrounded by the stuff.

To my west is cropland, so weeds aren't a big issue there. To my south, the neighbor has the same problem as I have with the baby's breath. We were going to tackle it simultaneously. He's a commercial crop sprayer by trade (pilot), but I don't know if he's an expert on the chems themselves or just the joystick controller. Plus, not like a lot of people have issues with baby's breath, but that crap is out of control on both of our places.

So basically the consensus is milestone. I was planning on trying to get one of those tow behind rollers to eliminate the "drift" with a pull behind sprayer. Assuming I get that and use milestone I should be able to roll right along the edge of the weed mat without affecting the trees correct? Trees are 1-4 years old and there's probably 1000k+ of them

I don't remember killing any trees with Milestone and we sprayed right up next to them. Just make sure to read your label. If I remember right, it isn't as drift prone as the 2,4-D family. That stuff never stays where it's put.

I wouldn't do it over the weed mat especially if the trees have roots that extend beyond the width of the weed mat, that shit is pretty evil on trees. I hurt a row of spruce pretty bad that was at least 200 yards away with a very minimal wind. I'd roll away with something like 2-4D or Widematch.

I battle the worm wood every year as my neighbors don't maintain their lots. I have had good luck with 2 4 D Amine mixed a little stiff.

Milestone is excellent stuff and it also has a good residual effect that lasts for several years. I'm a cheap ass too and as long as Amine seems to be working I'll stick with it.

FYI, I use Trimec in my yard, 5oz to 8oz in 2.25 gallons of water works great on thistle and dandelion. :;:rockitIt also does well on other weeds to. Remember if you are spraying a yard the chemical has to be labeled for turf, and ornamental. Widematch does great on a lot of weeds but cannot be sprayed on lawns.

Widematch is good. A heavy dose of lv6 works well too and is easier on the pocketbook.
