Just birds from here on out

I haven't filled my archery tag early for a couple years. I don't know what to do now. Ha

I shot my buck on Labor Day. I made a bad shot and backed out. My arrow was clean as a whistle. Complete pass thru right through the guts. Backing out was the right choice cause he was only 60 yards from where I shot him the next morn.



Then a week later my wife made a perfect shot on her target buck. He didn't go far. All 3 kids were there to help recover him. They were pumped



I must admit it is fun to hunt ducks and geese again, especially with the kids. But this cold weather makes me wish I could climb a tree. Also this is the first year I haven't had an elk or mule deer tag since probably high school. I'm ready for 2018!
