DecBuck.jpgDecBuck2.jpgCoyote2.jpgThe bucks don't seemed to be bothered by the coyote. Haven't seen any does lately. Can only shoot does where I hunt.

that coyote could be running AWAY from does

single coyotes are often pursued/harassed by antelope/deer

packs.... not so much

The does probably aren't around there because the bucks are and they don't want to be pestered by them bucks constantly looking for that last doe to pop. Just a thought....

A series if these have been floating around Instagram the last few days. Apparently taken in Canada.

yes it does, that is why I got into trying snaring on the land I deer hunt on, going up this afternoon and checking the line I put out Tuesday and putting some more out in a few other areas up there. It is like all other stuff, quite a learning curve to figure it out.

I also agree with NDsportsman does stay away from bucks after rut until they need to group up for food later in winter

Whitetail does typically start grouping up for the winter right after chasing slows from the rut. If deer don't winter where you are you likely aren't going to see does until spring when they start dispersing for fawning. If they winter there and all you're seeing is bucks, you're just not quite where the does are (obvious). They'll show if you have some good feed areas. This nice winter so far isn't helping your cause.
