i agree with u rowdie and dean, i guess what i am saying is the past sucked and i cant agree with alot of what happened, i guess my point is people like myself abd many others didnt have anything to do with it and we have to pay the price for it. when i started my adult life in my 20s i didnt have a pot to piss in. i worked hard and started to make better choices and gained respect from those around me. that all was accomplished from opportunity. the same opportunity many of the younger indians have today. and argueably indians and blacks probably have more opportunity than i did with all the grants and minority fuunding today. my parents and grand parents have given me nothing in way of white privaledge. they gave me a good mind and taught me to work hard and an attitude that if i want respect in this world i have to go out and earn it. i understand its easy for me to say forget about the past, we need to move forward but it kind of is what im saying. alot of indians i feel are living and dwelling on the past, maybe rightfully so, but in doing so they are missing out on opportunity for the future and their childrens future. i have no problem and no hatred in my heart for any man who will work there ass off and sieze any opportunity to better thenmselves. black red white pink purple or blue. i do have a problem with those who wont. a good buddy at work is part indian and i have nothing but respect for the guy. not because he is a hard working indian but because he is a man who has earned his respect and will sieze any opporrunity to advance his life.
