Who will benefit................look across the state and other states as well not only the oil and gas jobs we have but the nearly century long coal mining industry here in ND. Without these industries and good paying jobs there would be hundreds and hundreds less small farming operations in existence that have been saved or are being started or able to carry on due to these good jobs and to the land and or mineral owners it carries on too.
Then all of the thousands and thousands of jobs that come along with these industries as direct industry support and down to the small local diner.

Thank you sir that is the first person to actually say they would know someone who would benefit personally from the pipeline.

- - - Updated - - -

This pipeline has no economical benifet to majority of the people of North Dakota, this oil is pulled from the ground an is piped to a different oil storage facility off state where it's sold to the highest bidder which really is sold over seas. I laugh at the point you made about being competitive to an undersized economy, the fact is light crude oil is much easier to refine to make gasoline over the middle eastern black crude oil. The problem is the refinery we have in the US are designed to refine the Saudi oil which doesn't benifet anyone but a small few. This pipeline is really sucks for North Dakota in the long run becuase we should be waiting for oil to go up instead of drilling for oil to sell to so other country.

The oil isn't refined in the states it's sold overseas how is that independent security when we need to buy crude oil from real terrorists

Like I said I am not against this pipeline but I see a lot of revenue that only a select few who will get to benefit from the sale of Bakken crude to the highest bidder from over seas. We need to loosen the restriction on developing new refinery to really become competitive to a global market.

- - - Updated - - -

Do you pay attention to the oil industry?

No I am not really up to.date with my oil news just that we buy Saudi oil becuase the refinerys in the US can't refrine Bakken sweet

Jesus economics 101 man! throw in rock in a pond it makes waves far beyond just the water that the rock hit! for starters how about he fact that the average starting pay in North Dakota even on minimal jobs has gone up dramatically over the past several years and then how about the state lowering taxes when the money was flowing. how about the huge amount of cash flowing into all sorts of parks and God knows what else from the outdoors fund. open your eyes you will find you won't get triped up by reality as often!

Ahhhhh no those videos of guys driving buffs were at the protest site ....fairly easy to tell with the yellow helicopter buzzing around. the cannonball ranch was a buffalo ranch hell where do our think all the buffs they have killed came from pretty damn sure it wasn't custer! fact is they should have been charged with livestock rustling.

The FB post that was shared I was refering to had a lady that posted some footage from the Custer State Park Round up and it was the same as the footage the fella had used.

Ahhhhh.....I know the Cannonball was a buffalo ranch we used to hunt prairie dogs and have a few fun times there with Monty.

One of the injuns the other day said they had already spent all but 100 grand out of the account if my memory serves me correctly and i might have this wrong as my memory comes and goes from having mini-strokes while having last neck surgery. I hope i am wrong and we froze the whole million bucks and we can get it. Would fix them sonsabitches!
Obummer won't do anything with this and will leave it for Trump ( i hope ) to fix.
no way in hell Indians would leave a million bucks sitting in an account. They party like rock stars;:;rofl

All of North Dakota. With DAPL ND production will be much more competitive against the rest of the oil producing regions. The cost to ship on rail is killing jobs in ND and is depressing our economy. If we can compete with the world maybe we will start seeing more jobs come back instead of drilling in Texas. DAPL has a huge effect on the ND oil industry.

- - - Updated - - -

New refineries in ND are not a good investment. There is no additional demand needed in ND to consume the refined products. Any new refinery will have to compete against the established suppliers. Any new refinery would need to find a new or under supplied market to supply. The DAPL pipeline will save lives and reduce pollution.
once the pipeline is in place we are told we will no longer be discounted from west Texas Crude.

My wife works with a native. He has a cousin that lives in Williston. He is 100% Lakota. And speaks the language. He went down to the protest. Was only there a few hours and came back. He said those guys are scary as hell and he wanted no part of it.

Yeah where hes getting the info that bakken oil and or West Texas Intermediate can't be refined is beyond me. hell that's what they run in the mandan refinery. considering oil has only been allowed to be sold outside of the country for a couple months now we would have had to store every barrel ever pumped out of the bakken and much of the oil pumped out of Texas for the past few decades if we couldn't refine it!

Tesoro and the refineries in the twin cities refine Bakken oil. A lot of refineries on the country have updated their distillation trains to take in more sweet oil.

Mandan. Plus all refineries in the country refine it. You have it backwards. Not all refineries can refine the heavy crude. especially the tar sands oil. the bakken oil needs very little refining. In fact a co worker too some home straight out of the treater and dumped it in the gas tank of his push mower and it ran fine lol. guys nuts. it is as nice and yellow as oil coming out of the bottle at napa. The Koch refinery built a special addition at it's plant in MN just to process the tar sands oil because they get it cheap as hell. But is expensive to refine.

Crime has went down as more jobs have been lost. When you grow bigger obviously more crime will happen. Fargo and forks don't have oil but crime is up in those towns.
The cost of living is now comparable with the other big towns in the state. Rent in Williston, watford city, Minot is now just as cheap as the east side of ND.

Thanks guys for setting me straight on the refineries in the states, but hey it will all work it's self out eventually. You can't stop.progress it will.get built just need to step back and breathe a little. Those injuns will have to go soon enough I mean look at this Trump is.gaining on the beast everyday, the vikes can still make the playoffs, and hard water season is just around the corner. It's so nice to here all.the nasty crap about the beast instead of Trump.

What I really want to know is does the ND treasury have my address so.they know where to send my royalty check.

This is what DAPL is for

Oil production does not work like a light switch and doesn't produce instantly. How does good paying jobs and padding the tax coffers from the production tax not benefit the people of North Dakota? Are you saying a certain industry is not important to anyone who doesn't work directly for it? If so I see no reason for the ag economy and I think we should just turn all cropland back to grass. That wouldn't hurt ND....

You need to quit while you are ahead and start some studying. Maybe you could then make some productive comments.
