I think the protesters may become more desperate and lash out more.

I for one don't care what he can do I care about what he won't do! he won't block the pipeline he won't come after my guns he wont continue the attack on coal and fracing!

I can tell you in the coal arena everyone is very tired and happy about it this morning myself included, the air was getting very thick at work the closer this thing got, you may have noticed some tension "Pressure";) in my posts the last few days as well it has released to a manageable level now.Thumbs Up

In a statement, Energy Transfer Partners said it was “mobilizing horizontal drilling equipment” in preparation for tunneling under Lake Oahe, a reservoir on the Missouri river by the protest camps and Native American reservation. The corporation said it would be ready to start crossing the water in two weeks.
The announcement came on a quiet election day at the encampments built by members of the Standing Rock Sioux nation and other indigenous people in opposition to the pipeline.

- - - Updated - - -

uesday’s statement does not address the requests from the government for a delay. On the contrary, it suggests that the company is not giving consideration to alternative routes or Obama’s recent remarks.
“Dakota Access previously received a permit from the army corps with respect the tunneling activities under Lake Oahe, and Dakota Access has all other regulatory approvals and land rights to complete the crossing of the Missouri river at Lake Oahe,” the statement said.

Took my wife to the casino yesterday, we needed a break from the mind numbing election commercials. Standing Rock surely has attracted a hoard of strange characters best described as renegades. I did not feel safe, we will not be going back.

and yes it will now come into play to haul Canada's shitty tar sand oil to the gulf where we will export it.

It's definitely behind the road block so I'm not sure if they will let you through or not. This is the law enforcement camp at the fort rice campground.

I guess its all in how one looks at it, there are several phases and only one phase is not finished and looks like the tar sands oil is already coming down just using a longer route.
From my view there is only about 1/4-1/3 left of what the entire project consists of. But my 20/20 vision could be off as i have had a couple drinks tonight in celebration of Americas greatness.Thumbs Up

On may way back from hunting to day there were about 20 peacful ass hats 10 cop cars and 2 AClU legal observers on highway 6 at the curve just east of Flasher. One cop had a bunch of those zip tie handcuffs. Again if there so peacful and righteous why do they have to were masks? Made sure to drive slow and salute all the officers and gave the ass holes the finger. This was aways south of the pipe line, it was almost like these guys were daring cars to cross the line and take them out.

Yeah but they are distinct individual projects with the east being keystone and he west one keystone XL. the east one went in well ahead of XL and it was only XL that the fight was about. basically none of the controversial XL line was ever built other then a chunk on the south end.

Ok thanks for the info on the difference. From my understanding from friends in Nebraska and from watching it close it was a small area in Nebraska where it would cross some portion of the Ogallala aquifer that caused the big rukus for a while but they worked it out within the Nebraska legislature but by that time obummer put the hammer down on it personally about the same time.

Yeah they cut it across the north east corner of the sandhills which is where much of the Ogallala aquifer water percolates down from the surface and then slowly works its way south down towards of Texas panhandle. That aquifer is having some serous over use problems and is rapidly being depleted so they had a powerful platform of start their protest from and unlike the protesters here they had a number of valid points of contention.
