I have a 2000 Chevy Silverado. It has recently not allowed me to fill the gas tank from the pump. The pressure is built up in the tank and the fuel pump will click off and not pump gas. Everything I have read pointed me toward the vent valve solenoid which is the pressure control for the tank and filler tube. I did replace that this weekend, but it still does not fill. Does the code need to be reset for the new one to engage? My check engine light is still on, but it has been on for years now for other things. Is there something else connected to this that could be bad? Let me know thoughts as I will be pulling the box off again...........
