What kind of bottom do those things have? Titainium or what.Anybody want to buy a used jet boat? Cheep, only jumped one log.
Good for him! Wages must have really went up since i worked out there many years ago. What part is he in? We were at Hamilton, MT.My middle son moved to Montana for the hunting. He couldn't decide which to buy first, a house, a new car, a jet boat, lion hounds, a 4x4 side by side, or horses. He gave up making that tough decision and bought them all the first year. He helped me on that bear I shot last fall. I already need a new lightweight rifle for the scabbard on the horse. Hmmmmm what to get?
Most likely those boats are heavy gauge aluminum usually with a one piece seamless bottom. Most of the hunting boats with mud motors will have a .125" thick hull with a robust stringer design. Some good stump, log, road, beaver dam jumping videos of those boats as well.

I was out night lighting ducks at night to put radios on them. I was using a surplus airboat used as a gun boat in Vietnam. The hull was a foot thick and it had a 300 horse Lykomen engine. Heavy, heavy, heavy, and I made the mistake of slowing down on a 1/4 mile wide mud flat. One time another guy was driving, and two of us were netting. He grounded it in soft mud. Thank goodness it was soft because we shook the front back and fourth as he gunned the engine. It broke loose as it was pointed at the other guy. He couldn't stop or the guy would have been trapped under the boat. Pressed him right into the mud on his back. Lucky it was a smooth hull or his face would have been more sore.It took me, literally, all afternoon to pull that machine back to about 8" of water, where it would float.

Late 90's I had a brand new, Sea-Doo XP. Super duper fun. Anyhow, was running up the channel in what we called "Christmas Tree Island", which is on the Missouri, just north of the Interstate Bridge, on the Bismarck side. Water was low, and the channel was far too shallow for any outboards. Anyhow, I ran up that channel at full throttle, until I started feeling that I was tapping bottom. Continued to pin the throttle until ran out of water.
