Golf Cart - Street Legal

So I have a Club Car golf cart. It currently has no lights. I want to make it street legal. For those of you that have gone through this what is the easiest and less expensive route to take?

Easiest thing to do for a horn is buy one just like this one in the pic....I had one on my sxs and worked flawlessly every time

As far as turn signals use your hand like motorcycles

Just paint it camo and you never get caught, or attach a lawn mower to it.

Sell it and buy a street legal one.

Call Metro Golf Carts. You will have to take it there anyway to get a Slow Motor Certificate. The worst part is trying to get a COI (certificate of origin) from Club Car.

if you buy a kit, kit one with LEDs. not halogen. way better on your small battery and/or alternator.

Thank ya boys. Thinking of going the Ahab route through amazon. I am not getting it registered or anything. It is just that a few places we camp they are getting pressured by the CORP to make the dam things street legal. I will go as far as the lights and horn but that is it.

Yeh, the whole street legal thing in campgrounds is kind of rediculous. They came to ours a while back and wrote up a bunch of people for there golf carts. So instead, now some use side x sides. I don’t know about you guys, but I’d much rather have a bunch of golf carts running around the camp ground at 10 mph and quiet versus a bunch of loud side x sides that sometimes get driven by kids and there burning around at 2o-30 mph kicking up dust, and spinning the tires because they can. Sometimes stuff is so backwards.....

My son is in a campground by Alexandra Minn. and they can only have electric golf carts for run arounds.

Remember "Street-Legal" means, Lights, Horn, Windshield, Blinkers, Hazards, Brake lights, Seat belts for all seats, and registered and insured. Can only then be driven by someone who has a valid drivers license also.

I seen people get Corps. fines upto $500.00 in the 2017 camping year.
