A load of #4 lead at 10 ft is a slug and I sure wouldn't trade 12 ga slugs already in hand for a 9mm I have to draw when looking at a dangerous critter. Only when the shotgun was empty, would the 9 would come out. In any case.........YIKES and I'm happy the guy didn't get tangled up with that critter!!!!
