Montana cabin rental ideas?

My wife got a wild hair up her butt and wants to rent a cabin in Montana the end of July this year. I told her that it will probably be tough to find something good this late into the summer. We are looking at just getting a cabin with a view and just relax for a few days and get away from everything thats going on. Anyone have any suggestions?

We've used VRBO many times...got a place on Flathead Lake 5 years ago...amazing!

I know the common websites to look for cabins. Im asking for location ideas.

Also open to Wyoming/South Dakota ideas as well

if you go west of bozeman, helena, and great falls, you are in northern california - eastern washington... beautiful country, but...

i'd look at cody wyoming myself... easy day trips to yellowstone, the big horns, or thermopolis if you like hot springs...

A few years ago we rented a place out by columbia falls up in glacier. Really nice area up there. Some cool breweries up in the surrounding communities and even a distillery. Nice views. Come to think of it a vineyard and winery too.

medicine lodge adventures.....it's a beautiful area and you'll pretty much be in the middle of nowhere. They have a variety of different style cabins for rent.

I think this is the one my buddy stayed at last year, they loved it Big Sky area close to yellow stone



I had a nephew that lived in Kalispell for awhile and loved it

Wife, Son, and myself just returned from a trip to Yellowstone a few weeks ago(31 MAY TO 3 JUNE). We stayed in a small cabin at Mt View Resort near east entrance to yellowstone. Between Cody and Yellowstone. We pd $200 a nite for cabin, and that was cheapest. Prices go up from there. Weather was perfect at that time.

Love Red Lodge. So many great hiking trails, Wild Bill Lake, Beartooth Pass, and not far from Yellowstone.

I was going to suggest that also.

Renting a fire lookout tower would be awesome.

We are headed to FlatHead lake area in Sept for a wedding. Been to Glacier a million years ago on motorcycle. Haven't had the opportunity to get back to that part of the country. CAN NOT WAIT!!!

flathead is a beautiful area. my last time there was 20+ years ago. girlfriend almost got abducted by some creeper in the mountains.
