@MicLee - did you just retire or did you get put on the NDA payroll?

You've posted more in the last month than in the previous 7 years combined.

Just curious.

Early retirement kicked in last spring. I have been a lurker since the FBO days, but never much of a poster. A couple of months ago I almost drowned while I was swimming and had a cardiac event. Since then I decided to do the things, say the things, and worry less about what people think of me. I'm not trying to ruffle any feathers or step on any toes, but I can dial it down if you guys prefer.

The blue canoe.
We were under the influence when we bought it. Missed the hole in it. When my buddy sold it you could hear the bearings grind as the new owner pulled away. It was our first boat, a real project. We still laugh about the "blue canoe".

Good for you - lucky bugger. (on retirement)

Holy cow - sounds like a life changing experience! Yikes. (story would maybe make for an interesting post?)

Your posts are interesting and useful - or at least entertaining. Post away!

It was just as a scientist I have been conditioned to be alert to spotting trends - and boy howdy you are trending. ...rofl...

Cheers!

Not that interesting. We were on vacation and I was sitting in the hot tub. Next thing I knew I woke up on the floor and my chest and left arm hurt like hell. My heart had stopped for a few minutes. I was lucky that the hotel had a lifeguard on duty and an AED. I don’t dwell on it and feel blessed to have lived through it.

So now what - pacemaker?
No. A catheter was used to inject meds to bust up a clot followed by more meds, diet change, and no more smoking.
I struggle to adhere to the diet change but successful with quitting smoking.

A clot? Are you a pureblood?
