Might have changed now, but I dreaded dealing with dell customer service about 5 years ago. Terrible. Would be nice to talk with someone that actually speaks English

Farrell Gas f u in the ***. Worst company ever in the history of time. They would bill you 3 times the going rate of propane and hope you paid it. If you called and complained, your bill magically dropped over 1/2 price. You had to do this song and dance on EVERY fill. Come spring I pulled their tank to the road and told them to pick it up.

I remember that thread. Sounded like it was consistent to all customers. In this day in age, with the rapid spread of information, I can't believe companies can still operate like that.

-managers at lowes, which makes no sense, since the employees are typically AWESOME
-people that work at scheels, they always give/do what i want, but act very shady/skeptical about everything and sort of ruin the experience
-straight talk if you have ANY sort of issue (i'm comin home at&t!!! SOON)(plus, their name isnt politically correct imho...)
-lee loading products.......what do i expect, right?! lol

Sears. Bought a bran new fridge from Sears in Bismarck. Freezer wasn't working properly. Impossible to talk with someone locally. Waiting list to get it worked on was over a month. Went to the store to talk with someone personally. Refused to deliver a new one without someone looking at it. Told them I couldn't go a month without a freezer. Expressed my concerns about their customer service. Manager could have cared less. Probably the worst customer service I have delt with.

I had forgotten about my dealings with Sears.

Mrs johnr purchased a craftsman mower for me on fathers day about 5 years ago. I used the new mower twice and the self propel went out. I returned it to sears, they sent it to someone in Hettinger as that is where their repair guy lived (100 miles away), so that took a week to get to him, then he order parts, that took a month, then he finally fixed it (took another month) then the shipped it back to Dickinson, and 3 months later I had my mower back.
Because as you all know grass never grows through out the 3 months of summer, so they conveniently told me I could drive up and use their stores mower whenever the need arises...NICE..

I'm still not sure what exactly straight talk is but yesterday while being dumb enough to take fish pics on the kayak without some sort of tether I dropped my phone in the lake. I took off for the at&t place to get a new one and everyone in there was because of issues with straight talk. A lady came in behind me and asked how long I had been waiting. I said about 15 min no big deal. She said she was there at 3(now 5:30) and all the same folks were still there. Once a person got back from break they were able to get me a new phone I was out in about 10 min. The same straight talk folks were still there.

Most recently for me is Northstar Performance. Ordered a stud kit for a cadillac and after a week without a tracking number I contacted them. Got the runaround for another week before I filed a dispute with paypal. Still took another week before they shipped the kit while trying to talk me into dropping the dispute, and another week of waiting for it to get here. Funny thing is they are right accross the border from Pembina where they have a distribution center. The parts are good, but the service is definitely something to be desired.

Seems like if I shop somewhere long enough, or often enough over even a short period of time, I tend to find both ends of the customer service spectrum. Kinda like dealing with the opposite sex.

I forgot one of the worst I had dealt with along the way was ABC seamless in Bismarck as well. Not bad customer service just bad workmanship all around period.

Don't go back to Lowrance with a unit that got moisture in it or older than 3-4 years as well. They will tell you where to stick it.

Me: "It rained on my HDS 10 and now it doesn't work." Lowrance: "That's not one of the serial #'s with moisture problems" Me: "Well this one has a moisture problem and aren't these things supposed to be able to handle rain because in rains outside sometimes when you fish?" Lowrance: "Well, eventually they can get wet" Me: "Don't you cover moisture problems?" Lowrance: "Your serial # does not match the known moisture problem units."

Yes, love their products but customer service is something to be desired. I had a problem this spring with a brand new unit and was getting nowhere for weeks until I managed to get in touch with the manager of the CS department. Once I got a hold of him my problem was resolved in a matter of days.

I still have his number if the price is right. :;:smokin

My sister and I have the same size house, ABC cost me $36,000 out of Bismarck. Her house was $16,000 out of Fargo.

I am not to sure that 300 miles constitutes $20,000 more in cost.... Grrrrr

Thanks for the offer, but I did eventually track down a regional rep and give him compliments until he blushed and gave me a magical reference # that gave me satisfaction. The fact it took me 2 weeks of Columbo-ing to track down my perp is what really torqued me.

I also prefer the Lowrance operation over the one H-Bird I bought. I wish I didn't cringe everytime my Lowrance does something a little quirky, though.

They didnt have a .270 barell and offered me a .25 06. 6 month process to finally get the situation resolved. #neveragain

Skeeter boats. In particular Robert Young and Darby Pliler. Biggest joke I have ever had to deal with and that includes spending over the last 8 years all over western North Dakota with minimal help and tons of customers for every single business. Congrats Robert and Darby, you two are worse than any other business I have ever dealt with. Had the boat for less than a year. Glad to have gotten rid of it and will never ever own another skeeter product as long as I live.

Took over 4 months to try and get them to follow through with what was promised (which never did happen by the way) to be told around month 4 that I shouldn't have used my boat at all. Yeah, how crazy of me to buy a boat and want to use it during the summer (already paid my entry fees for gov's cup and DWC). Started this process in April and finally in August I was told I shouldn't have used my boat.
Literally over 100 phone calls, dozens of voice mail messages, multiple emails and a few calls to their HR department. Those were all me, I'm not sure how many times the repair shop tried to get ahold of them as well. Took around a $7,000 hit on that thing in less than a year but it was worth every lost dollar to never have to deal with that place again.

Ha. My coping mechanism was getting rid of their product. I see what you did there though.
I do want to say that the one person who was pleasant to deal with there was their HR lady Debbie Osborne.
