After 4 Chevy PU in a row I now have a Ford. Bare bones entry level F 150. So far I really like it. It has the 2.7 liter V6.
Have about 3300 miles on it. All of the Chevy's had the 5.3 liter motor. This Ford seems to have a little stiffer ride.
Definitely quieter in the cab and a much better seat than the 2018 Chevy.

Well according to AI you went the correct route. I posted on another thread about it and AI said chevy is junk compared to a Ford. 😆

2025 came with 733 miles
So you bought a used F.O.R.D? J/k .... in 2022 GM phased out 4.3 v6 and 3.6 v6 in the colorado and introduced the 2.7 turbo 4 banger which is under powered not only for the colorado but a real dead duck in the 1500 trucks or option #2 3lit duramax diesel with its own issues as a new powertrain. Sucks as After 30+ years working and driving GM gotta admit I'm looking at Ford and like what Ford offers, looked at Toyota but ain't gonna happen with my big ass seats ,headroom built for small ppl.

Only thing that sucks for ford in Bis anyways is you have to deal with Eidie...which in my opinion has the obsolute worst service dept I have ever dealt with....an thats by a long shot. I have dealt with every service dept in bismarck/mandan excetp KIA and Hyundai and Eidie ford takes the cake as the worst. Chevy has been consistently going down hill since the late 90's, i mean the lady running the show probably knows more about half ton and 3/4 ton pickups then all of us combined...and what we need/use them for..so yeah no wonder they are where they are.....

Barras goals:

Barra cited GM’s publicly-stated goal of zero crashes, zero emissions and zero congestion.

I agree with the above. The next pickup I buy will be a brand that I don't have to use Eide service!

Agreed it's shameful these dealer service centers/union personnel could do better not all dealer shops just a few further dealer poor service gives customers in for service and or warranty work will effect vehicle sales eventually which deals hip owners take seriously. Most often when dealer service becomes complacent dealer GM needs a heads-up as this person answers to big dog when business takes a shit, people spending big $$ for a new vehicle purchase want trust, honesty and above all good service from the getgo service writer to end results fixed the first time with a smile.

I will be going somewhere else to buy my next Ford. It's a shame that Eide is taking over so many dealerships, and not just in Bismarck/Mandan.

I've dealt with both Eide Ford and Eide Chrysler with our work vehicles and hands down Eide Chrysler is the worst service department. Absolutely horrible. Eide Ford I really haven't had too much bad luck with other than them putting a dent in my drivers door while they had it in for service.

I dont think the companies care. I called Ford and they kept track of all the issues i had..in the end nothing changed. I also know I wasnt the only one doing this so it wasnt a one off.

I understand your predicament but often times if you don't go to head honcho these mid level team leaders stop the buck with them after all who wants to stir the pot with boss man I can't imagine a business owner especially a car dealer principal wouldn't entertain negative feedback regarding his/hers department jeopardizing future sales further customer satisfaction ( CSI)index is crucial for acquiring dealer inventory new vehicle customers will get this survey fill it out can't fix something that's broken iffin you don't know it's broke not to mention minimize being pissed off brain damage.

I did..went to ceo himself....filled out to many surveys to keep track of. All was a dead end. CEO peterson passed the buck to a guy below who was unapolegetic and full of excuses instead of taking ownership. I didnt post they were the worst because i had a little complaint and didnt do my due diligence with talking to the people in charge...they are truly the worst.

Supposedly Trump is supposed to roll back the fuel economy standards. If that is true and depending how much --- could we see Toyota roll back the 5.7, GM no more cylinder deactivation and Ford start making more yotes.

Well never herd o fire a ceo in car dealerships? Dealerships in my district (43 dealers/dealerships) had middle management focused on sales floor and product training for sales staff then next step general manager but for dealership issues the Owner... but depends on how pissed you are in these cases on this thread you guyz need or should address your issues with dealer principal/owner in person or email, office controller will get you contact information but what a shitshow!. Almost worth a road trip to another town with a Ford dealership or iffin your outof warranty these small one man shops ( non union) are gold when found. Goodluck.

I for one would not buy anything from any EIDE dealership period. Dont ask me how because I know in and outs of that business. Drive to anywhere else period.

Unfortunately until American manufacturers can get their shit together and supply their own electronic hardware we will continue to see vehicles with problems. I really do hope some company comes in and can build a new 4 wheel drive that is bare bones for half what the other companies sell theirs for. No one really needs all these fancy vehicles with 14 inch displays, sensors for everything or other gimmicks that the avg Joe has gone without for decades. Just make a vehicle that can work without needing to be brought in to the dealer for bullshit sensor or software issues.
