Be a leader not a follower or as I call those that do what you do Davey, chicken shits! ...duel......rofl...

Haha , I've done my hard time being a leader . Grew up in the 70's with a 76 chevy 454 , 400 turbo that went like a raped ape. One in a Camaro and other one in a pickup. After squealing the tires , drag racing, exhibition driving and I forget what all else I lost my license and had to take an oilfield job in Montana just so I could drive to work without the locals picking on me. It's been 14 years since I've ever been pulled over and I'm just fine with that.

It amazes me how many people care what lane people travel in. You can tell the people who havent driven on 6 to 10 lane highways very much. It only makes sense to use both lanes, because that distributes wear more evenly and prevents costly repairs having to be made as often. If you dont like someone going to slow in the left lane, pass them on the right, its really not that hard to figure out ladies.
BULL fucking SHIT. It's gd dangerous to pass in the right lane and gd dangerous to cruise the left. It's not so fucking hard to drive with courtesy and common sense either.

There are a lot of 2 lane HWYs that turn into 3 lanes for uphill traffic. If there is someone riding my ass I'll go into left lane but not if they're just following. I've had to pass on the right on those hills at times when idiots don't move over. When I'm pulling my boat I move left and at times idiots passing me just slowly pass and my lane ENDS on the top!

6 lane highways are DEI for retards if they can happen to merge. They often mash each other.

I've said it here before, every NDDOT road engineer should have to drive 8 hours in SLC Utah for certification and continuing education credits. I'd rather merge into 8 lanes in SLC at 80 MPH than two lanes in ND at whatever the speed limit is. ND drivers are rude and drive bumper to bumper . Many a time I've driven with my turn signal on in Fargo trying to merge until I had to slow down and piss off a bunch of people behind me before a good Samaritan came along. In SLC at 80 there are a few car lengths between cars and the traffic flows like water.

You’re crazy if you ride a motorcycle in the FM area anytime anymore. Got rid of mine this spring. I got tired of almost dying on a daily basis. It’s absolutely ridiculous!!

It wasn’t as bad out of town, still sketchy though. WAY too many distractions and people won’t put their phones down. It’s just dangerous!!

How is passing in the right lane without having to change lanes to pass on a 4 lane divided highway dangerous ? How is driving in the left lane on a 4 lane divided highway dangerous ?

I asked AI about this and really the only reason its considered 'dangerous' is because people might not expect it. If both parties followed safe driving procedures, checking their mirrors and signaling before changing lanes, its no more dangerous than passing on the left, BUT because the person on the left might not expect someone to pass on the right, they might change lanes without signaling or looking, assuming no one would be there. SO REALLY any danger resulting from people passing on the right is caused by the person on the left.

This, it's unreal how many drivers are looking at their phones while driving.

If caught make it a $500 fine.

Because its a bit of a law.

North Dakota. According to the North Dakota Century Code § 39-10-08, drivers in North Dakota must operate their vehicles on the right half of the roadway, except when overtaking or passing another vehicle, when making a left turn, or when the right lane is closed due to construction or other valid reasons.

I am pretty sure that's for 2-lane roads. This is the law that you break when you cross the center line on a 2-lane road when not actively passing someone.

ND does NOT have a "you must stay in the righthand lane on a 3+ lane section of highway except where so marked.

Minnesota does, but ND does not.

Edit: Obi beat me to this by posting the applicable section of the Century Code.

In general, those sections with the 3rd lane are usually marked as to remain in the right lane except to pass. In that case, one can certainly be ticketed for not allowing you to pass them on their lefthand side.

That would be your typical slap on the wrist. $5000 and it still won't end but it may help.

The same could be said for someone in the right lane changing lanes to pass in the left lane without looking. It could be argued that if one stayed in their lane and not have to change lanes when overtaking other vehicles whether it be the right or left the danger could be drastically reduced.

Driving is a lot like hunting, fishing, unloading/loading a boat... There is A LOT of people who suck horribly at it and without common sense or common courtesy, they shouldn't be behind the wheel just like they should find different hobbies because ya can't fix retarded..
Absolutely spot on

Really the primary danger is that its not what is expected by other drivers, if it was normalized, it wouldnt be much more dangerous except the fact that people in the right lane ARE often driving slower, so having vehicles driving faster in the lane that is normally moving slower could increase risk due to misjudgments of speed and braking distance etc, which is a valid concern I suppose, considering many drivers are not very skilled or old etc. It is not concerning enough to me to warrant bitching about it online or even having laws about it.
