I agree in principle to what you said - however, you're the guy I don't want to meet on the road. Pent up anger much?

The rules of the road and Century Code in ND legally allow one to drive in the left lane on a divided highway. If there is room for one to move right to allow you to pass in the left lane then there is room for you yourself to move right and pass in the right lane. PS why do you feel you are entitled to drive in the left lane but others are not ?

Its called common f'kn courtousy, give it a try sometime.

IDK, I put 40-50k miles a year on and I have better shit to do than park in the left lane driving 5 below the speed limit with another car beside me driving 5.25 mph below the speed limit backing up traffic for miles. Frankly, even though it's a law, the MN drivers are the worst for this. I unfortunately go to the Cities pretty regularly and they drive like absolute asshats and more often than not are completely oblivious to those around them. There's a flow of traffic and if your the one on a Sunday drive jamming it up and getting passed on the right, you deserve every dirty look, hand gesture, bumper riding, and people cutting in front of you that get..................move over and have some common courtesy. It's the same as the guy at the boat ramp clogging up the ramp while they get there boat ready. For christ sakes, untarp it and get your shit ready in the parking lot before you pull into the loading/unloading line. Both are cases of just being selfish and ignorant.

and yes, with general common courtesy with the unwritten rule and the majority consensus is that slower traffic in the right lane, driving in the left lane and forcing people to pass in the right is creating a hazard. You're forcing drivers to make unnecessary movements and manuvers to pass. When the majority of drivers follow that slower traffic is in the right lane, then yes, you are being a hazard just parking in the left lane. It may be legal, but it isn't neccessary and you just being a selfish asshole.

1st you are assuming I am driving slow, which most likely is not the case.
2nd driving the speed limit is a written rule - legal
3rd driving in the left lane is also a written rule - legal
4th Exceeding the speed limit is a written rule - illegal

If I am driving in the left lane ( doing the speed limit ) and you are driving in the right lane ( speeding ) and you want to pass me how am I forcing you to make unnecessary movements? If I stay in my lane ( left ) you stay in your lane ( right ) and you pass in the right lane there are no unnecessary movements by either party, in reality there are two lane changes eliminated therefore making it the safer method.

AI says
Speeding is a form of aggressive driving that endangers not only yourself but other drivers and pedestrians12. It increases the risk of accidents and puts everyone on the road in danger2. Speeding can lead to hefty fines, traffic school, or even a license suspension1. If injured due to speeding, you may be eligible for compensation

I'm not assuming your driving slow, I'm assuming your driving slower than the flow of traffic in the left lane and therefor creating a hazard. You go ahead and keep telling yourself your doing the right thing.

You know what, its not illegal to back down the ramp and then proceed to to untarp and get your boat ready for 15 minutes while others wait in line to load/unload either, it's just being inconsiderate asshole. Nothing illegal about it.........................................weird, your the only one that thinks your in the right, or should I say left lane, lmao.

no comment on the safety factor of not having to change lanes or the speeding issue ?

I am walking with the shopping cart with Mrs johnr, we are at the local Walmart which is always crowded and they now have employees that load up these huge carts for customers that are to effn lazy to go get the cart and load their own commodities.
Point being these huge carts, and the elderly women that run into each other in the narrow lanes that decide they can park their carts right next to the others, and cobble up the lane as if they are the only ones in the store wanting to get their items, is the same as the asshole that drives in the left lane.

It isn't illegal, but it sure as fuck isn't what anyone with common curtesy and sense would ever do.

When I have to say excuse me 13 times in a 20 minute shopping trip, because the worker, and granny just don't get it speaks volumes about our culture these days.

Hwy 22 N up to the lake has every 5-8 miles a passing lane for getting vehicles holding up traffic off to the far right and let the non retards get around them. Funny thing is more often than not the guy clogging up the traffic is going 60 in a 65, but as soon as we get the chance to get around the piece of driving shit they suddenly find the accelerator and start going 70+ as if to not let anyone get around them. The passing lane ends, and back to 60 they go... That will give even the Pope a temper tantrum.
Same thing happens down here in AZ, JR. Just pisses a guy off.

I rarely pass on the right, but do it from time to time when it's clear they won't move over. I usually attempt the "I'm way closer to your bumper than I need to be" approach to force them to the right lane.

But when I do pass on the right, I am always on high alert in case they are so oblivious that they start to change lanes while I'm next to them. Usually kick it down and just get it over with quickly.
This is how I do it also. I usually give them the you're dumber than shit look as I do it.

Reminds me of this hot blond I was snorting around when working in Vermillion SD for a few weeks. She was from my home town and was a well known bat shit crazy chick, but she was hot. Yankton is a short drive and a 4-lane HWY between the two towns and that's where a lot of Vermillion people go to the bars. So she drove us over there and she would drive ONLY in the left lane, and under the speed limit. Every car had to pass us on the right and the looks she got over and over in just the few times I rode with her were priceless. You would think she would learn. Even at the bar some guy jokingly remarked about Suzi driving slow in the passing lane to Yankton. She had obviously been told and still was too stupid and stuborn to get it.

And perfume should be illegal for the grannies in Walmart. Tuesdays is like Senior Citizens Day or something and it just about kills you the aroma that is left in the isles. I absolutely refuse to go in on that day
