Where are the Piscifun's made? I've never picked one up, and I'm not trying to pick on anyone, I've just experienced better luck w/Japan production vs. anywhere else in the Pac Rim, thus the question.
China. I was excited to try one but returned it because the bail trip was clunky.

Been impressed with Okuma which to your point are made in Japan.

Agreed to some degree, but 80% off good stuff vs. 50% off great stuff carries some weight too. I've got one each of a Loomis Edge spinning rod and baitcasting rod in the cart, both are bass rods on sale from $299 to $199 and the 50% works on top of that. So actually 67% prior to taxes - total pre-sale would've been $599.98 (free shipping, federal excise tax remains the same).

PLUS....I get a $300 wellness benefit at work to spend on whatever I want (except guns, drugs, etc.) so it'll all be free!

Now I need reels to go on sale the same way! Curious on Piscifun Carbon XII for spinning reel, options open on baitcasters.

Thanks for the heads up @5575 ! I'm popping my Loomis cherry!

For a bait caster I would recommend giving some of the Lew's a consideration. I have an older model after they came back to the market and have no complaints.

Looks like Piscifun reels are made in China, same factory as Daiwa.

You’re going to have to pay me to step foot in any given Walmart at any given time anywhere in the world.

A LOT too!
well, there's limited shopping here and saving money where I can is needed. Fucking groceries are running me over 200 bucks a week already and just getting worse. Bleugh

I got a few things in the bismarck walmarts a few weeks ago, but most of the stuff went fast. They had some mid level rod/reel combo's that were normally like $75 on clearance for $20 each. 50% off will get my attention, but 80% off is where it gets more interesting.
Walmart has some good clearance in the spring but most of their rods are such stiff actions. The did have some lews with good actions

Great deal, love mine hooked up to my 40v strikemaster. The lifetime blade sharpening is a great deal I use every year. In dirty ice where I live its the only way to go!
Interesting. I have the kdrill with my Milwaukee Fuel Drill/Driver with the Clam plate. Had it for a good number of years. Not bad for early and late ice, but not too impressed with thick ice. How does that Strikemaster work for you? I am thinking of upgrading to the Strikemaster Maven and keeping the kdrill on the sidelines for a backup.

I keep hoping to come across just the 40v head to put on my kdrill.

Thanks a dandy price on a K-drill but after using the pistol bit... yeah, I'll never go back. They aren't even close to the same category.

I had your exact setup: drill/clam plate/kdrill but switched to SM 40 last year. I kept my kdrill bit and also have the SM bit. Both work great on the SM40 head. If both have sharp blades, I would say the SM cuts a tish better than the K but I am not disappointed with either. I use the K for dirty ice as its blades will not dull as fast.
