bikers are kind of an entitled bunch, there definitely is a stereotype that fits a lot of them. Bismarck pays like 80k / year to paint bike lanes on roads that werent designed for them an no one uses, because one of our city council guys is a biker and thinks they are needed. Ive got no problem with people riding bikes to work or school or whatever, but having designated lanes for them in this area is just stupid. What burns my hind end is that we have paid for bike trails around Metigoshe but some bikers are too good to ride the trail and still ride on the road.
In ND, yes.Would that be illegal off road on public land, as it is a motorized wheeled vehicle
$$$$$$$$We rented E-bikes after having a few red wines (which was a mistake). Cannes ---- i was ok on the beach which was flat but then we went up to the "hollywood" hills (as described by our tour de france guide). When i got my bike it showed a 3/4 charge. I didnt think anything of it as i thought it will be on the beach and i can always pedal it. Fact is i did pedal it thinking i will get some cardio but then when we will up the hills switchbacks almost to the top and my E-Bike runs out of juiice. Switched it in the lowest gear --- the guide comes back i said let me trade you for his 10 speed (whatever they use on tour). I said i can get lower gears i will climb--- i counld not get it through his head.
Well i pushed the some bitch up the hill and when at the top they are all taking a break - he told me to trade with my wifes bike. The rest of the way was down hill for the most part and traffic up the ass roads are tight. They are tooting horns at us if we road anything but agains the curb ---it was shit fest but none of us hit anybody. My wifes bike handle i seen it bob in and out a mercedes window that was down.
Do they charge if you pedal or go down hill???
Lesson -- a. stay at the beach as the beer/wine was cheap (compared to little minne)
b. check your charge level
c. They had a horse show too --- still trying to figure out the king ranch 350s with big horse trailers and kentucky plates. What did it cost to ship those bastards over the pond.
d. Sober driving only
I was so mad at one of those pro bikers one time. At lake metigoshe there are biking and walking trails all around the lake thanks to tax payers . This dolt all dressed up with speedo everything was riding on the road and theres no passing all around the lake . I was pulling my boat and followed him for a long time before I could find a safe place to pass. I normally have no problem sharing the road with bicycles but I do if there is a perfectly good trail 10 feet away and they arn't using it .bikers are kind of an entitled bunch, there definitely is a stereotype that fits a lot of them. Not!!!----- $60 USD for the bike/guide for a couple hours - Beer $4.50 USD Glass Wine $5.00 USD on the beach. I dont think we realize how far we bent over in the US with inflation. What is worse is the service in little Minneapolis.$$$$$$$$
