Between stands, leaving it in the box/back of a vehicle isn't a bad idea.If it wasnt a thermal and the battery issue thats what i would do in a hard case.
He does.Microfiber towel roll
I've got those suckers EVERYWHERE! The white ones are actually my favorite as you can see if they get dirty or somehow get dropped and pick up dust or grit and need to be used for NOT OPTICS ANYMORE.
Rainy/snowy days (or wavy days when fishing) I'll put them in a small ziplock to ensure they stay dry.
Great picture!!
To far for the mighty 270?

You're hooked for life something furious now.. Get ya a soft scope cover or the scope flip covers for the bitter cold. I always have microfiber cloths in my pocket to boot.I need to work on my recording skills I messed up on the first one I think my buddy has some of the others we killed. Got 6 with the last two being a double that was awesome. One was so mangy we did it a real favor. Seen 13 we called for about 5 hours.

It wasnt as bad as i thought only had a problem on one stand and it was my fault. I took a breath and for some really dumb reason exhaled right into the scope. I did end shooting one that stand but looked like i was looking through a frosted up window haha. got it fixed up on the drive between stands. I am hooked thats forsureYou're hooked for life something furious now.. Get ya a soft scope cover or the scope flip covers for the bitter cold. I always have microfiber cloths in my pocket to boot.
I came home and made a drag that sucked getting them out. I have the circe rabbit call i think its the first call i ever bought i was about 12 and in some amazing feat have not lost it over the yearsYea the cover will retain the temp better on the scope so it's not such a drastic change in temp making it fog up when put in the cab. I keep it on right up until I'm making the stand and put it back on right after. Makes a huge difference.
One other strong recommendation is always keeping a mouth call around your neck if you don't already. Saved me on numerous stands when the electronic had battery issues or manufacturer issues in subzero temps. Some stands i prefer to call by hand anyhow depending on the surroundings/echos. Sceery makes a super nice closed reed jacktail distress call just to have as a solid backup. Have a bunch of Les johnson open reeds I love as well.
Don't forget to always have a longass drag with duel-ended slip knots in your pocket either. You'll thank me later if u haven't incorporated one yet esp in the deep snow.
