Just bought a 2026 Ram and I hate it too, but it kept me from merging into a car that was right in a blindspot I'm not used to yet while driving in 1947 Hiroshima...er...I mean 13th and 45th in Fargo today.

Wondering if this is why the state allowed the blacked out license plates after decades of saying one style is good enough. Are they easier for Flock cameras to read? Or just a coincidence?

Yes those plates are easier to read by cameras, and humans for that matter.
And you pay more to have them!
