I have a jiffy legend and i know that the auger has a mixture ratio on it but i was wondering what other guys are recommending
That's crazy talk, yeah if you are going to drill 8 holes all day that would work. There is no way I would put 80:1 in my 30 jiffy auger. I drill on Avg between 20 to 40 +/- holes in a day. With being that lean would run too hot and score a piston. Crazy but if it works for you congrats.I use Amsoil Synthetic and run 80-1 and no problems. You don't smell it running and I can drill 8 holes and never stink up the house.
I've been doing it for years, not a bit of trouble. We normally drill 30+ holes a day every weekend. That's crazy talk, yeah if you are going to drill 8 holes all day that would work. how's the cap? Decent/durable? If so I'll buy one, use it as my gas can. One gallon plastic cans are bigger than necessary. Other "little bit extra" alternatives for hauling a pint?
One filled tank on an auger before leaving the truck is usually enough but insurance is nice.

Holy moly I just did some investigating on this Amsoil 100:1 or 80:1 for older jiffy 30 and the reason is that the synthetic oils they use doesn't burn off completely allowing for a leaner mixture. I guess if I actually seen someone use a auger all day with 100:1 or 80:1 then I would be a believer.
I also run Opti 2 in all my two strokes and have for years. I do mix a bit richer, but use the same gas from engines calling for 24:1 to 50:1.
