I read an article about the future of fishing and it asked why licensing hasn't kept up with other modern technology like Amazon, bill paying, etc.

Best question it had was "Why can't fishing licenses be automatically renewed like so many other pieces of our lives?"

I'd sign up for a new Sportsman license automatically billed to my CC every year. How about you guys?

I would be all for this, but with the NDGF computer system setup it wouldn't get renewed until 3 months after it expired. :D Then there would be a conspiracy that they did this on purpose to get more money via fines what a mess it would create.

back when I lived in Nebraska I looked into the lifetime fishing license and it wasn't much cheaper than buying year by year, the convenience of it was nice.

The problem with a lifetime license is I would end up dying the next season, murphy's law and all

They exist, you just need to teach hunter's Ed for 25 years to earn one.

Actually it was 30 years. Now it goes by years and hours so I may not get my 25 year gift on my 25th year if I don't have enough hours. They have never sent us instructors a letter telling us where we stand since the change. At least, I haven't gotten one.

My two youngest start next week with hunter safety. Pretty stoked about it.
My last trip out bird hunting, season finally, my son shot his 4th bird of the season, and my dog caught a rooster....haha they out hunted me.

God Bless you guys that give that time and energy to our youth.
