How loud are those generals with the cab? Can a guy actually hear the radio?

Its not super quite by any means. Im guessing the ranger with a full hard sided cab and insulation will be a lot quieter. But to answer your question yes i can listen to the radio and still hear it while blading in the general.

edit: have a video from inside the cab while plowing but i cant figure out how to upload. any ideas??

If you dont have a blower your screwed. Even a bobcat with bucket or pusher your screwed.

I have a tractor with a 7 ft blower, that would eat a path thru that. The going would be slow the first path thru it. Then I would take a 4 ft bite each path and it goes pretty fast. The nice thing with a blower, for the most part you never see the snow again. I put a 7ft pusher on my Bobcat and it makes clean up really fast. I found a 7 ft blower that had a bad gear box, so I bought it and stripped it down and put a quick attach plate on it. It is so much faster than a bucket.

My 35 years cheapest route is I all ready have John deer to mow, till, bag leaves, sweep with broom, bucket for more crap and just add blower for $3500 more. Never an issue when white shit piles deep. See all my neighbors out playing all day I am done in few hours. Live out of town so big county.

Grass is meant to be covered with snow to keep in from freeze drying. If you are pushing snow across your lawn and off the grass you need to be ready to deal with dead, brown grass in the spring from both freeze drying and scraping the top of the grass off with the blade. Just a thought.

This won’t affect me. The weeds will be just fine. Haha

The 25 horse tractor and blower has handled everything the past 5 winters with ease. It’s a lot of money to use a few times a year though. Figure I could sell it and get by with the side by side.
