One thing I've been noticing about these neighborhoods is that there is absolutely NO SHADE!

But in the aerial photos I'm seeing there's very few if any trees or shrubs planted.

I haven't read anything good about skipping mowing in May. Dumb idea. I plant flowers for the bees and only spray for weeds every couple of years.

I like the people who hate to mow, when they do you would think they are on the green for punting in golf ball, I leave mine about 4" tall for soft and lush feeling and plant landscape mixture form Chesak seed in Bismarck and do have sprinklers on about good 1/2 acre around main house. Hope neighbor kids don't tell me they don't want to mow it anymore.

Get you a neighbor that will mow your grass while you're at a fishing tournament. Then, the same neighbor meets you with 30 delicious buschies after the tourney. I paid for the mosquito spraying this year. Heads up to you bismarck/mandan people, get Quit Buggin' Me to come spray your yard. I think its $80 a time but if you hate mosquitos as much as I do, it's worth it.

I want to do that but my neighbors will ask me why I hate pollinators. 😄

Spent Sunday removing a water pond, spreading the huge flint rock that decorated it, and pretty much re-landscaping a large area. Best mothers day ever.
