So I'm a "small minority bully"
I dunno are you?

You, Sir, feel like "lock-down" when in fact we should be nothing more than aware of the issue.
I think Covid makes a poor analogy and comparing “lock downs” to baiting bans is kind of funny.

"Believe me because....." and "You're an idiot because...." isn't enough for me.
Where have I said either of those things? And yes, facts aren’t enough for some of you guys. Especially for many of you who hunt over bait. I get that.

Again, I’m under no illusion that I’m going to change minds with a handful of guys here. But again, lots of eyes on these discussions.

I have never hunted over bait. Bait hasnt been allowed in SD for decades. So we should not have cwd if bait is the causation

I can’t see what Brock says anymore because I blocked that fucking kookaid drinking idiot but trust me guys just stop engaging with him. He’s being paid to spread a false narrative. He will private message you and argue with you. Basically internet stalk you. It’s not worth it. At this point ignore the idiot. Continue to spread the word or reality we know and live. Continue to press your local reps about how fucking idiotic this whole situation they created is. Explain to those who don’t know yet or pay attention. Make sure everyone(including landowners) know that BHA is heavily involved in pushing this. Let these koolaid idiots talk to themselves out of jobs. I work with 2 non-farming landowners and another ranch manager. We had a nice long discussion about this issue and I assure you the message Brock is trying to push isnt being received well. Neither is the “trust the science, and common folks dont get it” rhetoric. None of them followed CWD real closely but we’re very skeptical to start. but when I filled them in with details they all got pretty pissed off. Keep it up Brock. Dont shit where you eat.

Baiting isnt the issue. It’s the entire premise of the whole created situation and money grab. They want to use “baiting” as a way to tie opponents to an emotional response therefore discrediting anyone who opposes or questions. When in reality none of it adds up and we are calling bullshit. These people are straight up using democrat tactics of fear mongering and gaslighting.

Wind Cave National Park (no hunting or baiting) is south of Custer State Park South Dakota. It has a high fence around it. The elk population has CWD and is growing. So, the feds took the fence down in spots and used helicopters to chase hundreds of them out.

Where was the Association of Fish and Wildlife Agencies "best management practices"?

Do as we say, not as we do.

Yes. I called it depredation but apparently the G&F calls it herd reduction. It is a fact that there are very few deer in the area around Apple Creek Wildlife management area so why continue a herd reduction in an area that basically is close to a non existent herd. I forgot who are we to question the " experts"

CWD is real. North Dakota doesn’t have much to show for it being a major problem.

Some of you think that means there doesn’t need to be control measures. Some of you think that means control measures work.

Therein lies the difference. There’s really no need to be dickheads about it.

The game and fish can’t win this one. If they do nothing, they are violating the trustee relationship as the caretaker of the deer herd’s health. If they implement controls, they have critics complaining. The barrage of opinions and misinformation doesn’t help.

What control issues need to be taken on a deer herd that if lucky and the conditions are right maybe live 4.4-7.5 years of age, when the disease itself takes 7-11 years to manifest!!!!! Or a herd that is extremely susceptible to EHD or harsh winters. Most of us arent saying CWD isnt real. Or downplaying management in other states. We are asking why the fuck are we giving it this much attention when they’re are more present and real dangers to our deer herd. It’s completely illogical unless you see the money trail and printer connected.

I have a predicament, I have little trust in either side of this issue. First off there is no denying that CWD is real. Second none of us know the true magnitude of the danger.
The Wind Cave actions Fritz posted is absolutely incompetent. Its little different than the high fence operation in Minnesota who had a tree fall on his fence releasing his infected herd just days before they were scheduled to be destroyed.
Do nothing is unacceptable. Completely banning a long standing tradition spawns distrust. Hard to enforce is often the excuse given for not restricting the size in bushels of bait sites which would be a good start. Since when do Americans give up freedom because it's difficult. It's only reasonable that five pounds per day that only attracts a couple of does and fawns and a buck or two isn't going to spread disease like a 100 bushel feed lot that attracts 200 deer from miles around. Have people not heard of compromise? Our last administration and the National Health Organization have created a lot of mistrust in science, and I have a lot of that mistrust myself so I surely understand the mistrust.
I don't trust the high fence operations with profits involved, I don't trust arm chair biology, I don't trust much of the science because like the FBI the left has also weaponized it. I don't like hearing biologists disagree with the data and telling statisticians go back and massage the data. I don't like biologist mskeing dumb ass statements like we shoukd not wear camo in public because it creates a bad image. What a crock of crap.
If we want to actually get somewhere on this issue it will require as much effort in rebuilding trust as science to solve the issue.

Or maybe it’s the fact when very logical questions or comments are brought up or concerns over the “science” the proponents use underhanded tactics to discredit. Calling people delusional, ramming caged studies from other states on pen raised animals in our face. Giving rhe overall sense of were stupid and dont understand when they can’t answer simple questions or concerns over the many holes in the story. It’s straight democratic propaganda at this point to me and most other logical people Ive spoken with. Trust me Brock’s approach is hurting the cause. Opposition who have medical degrees or taken numerous human physiology courses have been talked to the way Brock does here. Im jist a simpleton but when someone who has years of medical school under their belt asks a question or points out a flow They are shot down the same way. The giant campaign to discredit anyone who questions any of it is why Im not even close to considering any of it. It’s covid 2.0.

Since when has government compromise ever benefited the people?
