I fished out of the Otter Vortex Pro Lodge last night with a buddy and my 4 year old. Plenty of room for 3, and it has the nice full door. I currently fish out of an Eskimo Quickfish 3I since its normally just me and my son. After fishing out of that shack last night though I'm sold.

EDIT: Also, it was windy and below zero last night and had to take my coat off running a sunflower heater as low as it goes.

I like the otters reference above when I've fished out of them. Eskimo makes a full door hub now as well, but stowing the hub in their stow bag is a nightmare.

Looking for a new hub house, needs to have a full door not one of them damn triangle shaped trip hazards. at least 6 feet high inside. Big enough for 3-4 adults and well insulated. Recommendations?
I have the Eskimo 650 that would work, but bigger is always better so maybe go with the 850. Just be aware that the 650 is a heavy bugger and I can only assume the 850 is even heavier.

Love my blueTITZ. They are very handy and when the alarm goes off on my phone, it really gets the blood pumping.

Cons: You have to take the thing apart to change the batteries. They suck to attach to the flag. The clamps on the back aren't big enough so I bought the rubber bands to attach them. Also, make sure to attach them to the bottom of the flag, otherwise they're to heavy and flag won't rise. Once they go off, you have to reset them by turning them off and back on.

Interesting. Does anyone know if it is the same battery as the Milwaukee M12 stuff? look similar from the picture and side profile, I'm sure it isn't or just different enough
It's very close to the same but the housing of the milwaukee battery would need to be neutered to make it fit. I haven't checked contact points to see if they would line up

Just looked them up and I guess they aren't that expensive when you consider what batteries seem to be. It don't really matter to me as I'm not in the market for another electric knife for myself.

I don't use very often as I use my flip over otter, but I really like my Clam Bigfoot when I do use it.

Holy cow...........get off your drunk asses ...boozer...and check them once in a while. ...rofl...
Not a drinker,do check tipups, these things come in handy and go off instantly when tripped, doesnt take long to strip off a pile of line, allow you to concentrate more on the other lines,a little techy but I like'em!!

I use that silicone tape that sticks to itself, doesnt leave any sticky residue holds them on tight to the flag, never worry about one coming off,i use ptu 2 tipups, thinking about setting up a one of those clam predators with a baitfeeder with them on the flag.
Only bad thing with tipups is packing up at the end of the night!!

I sure do wish you guys could see those hook set tip ups in person, absolutely the bomb when fishing for walleye since the bait is really close to the bottom usually 4 to 8 inches. Use a lindy wide gap super glow jig with a stinger on the back fin of the frozen sucker or big fathead minnows. Use them alot in the channel up in the feeder lakes in the devils lake basin. Fish never get a chance to spit the hook out

You guys had me googling for bluetitz 😊

I carry 2 of these in my rod case. They are compact and work well.

Eskimo made them first. Better zipper system and layered fabric insulation instead of quilted so you don’t get all the pinholes after the first year. On year 4 of my 650. Fish 3 to 4 out of there real comfortably. Any more I’d go 850. And the Velcro windows makes for good air circulation and a great place to shoot a deer out of.

Go with an Otter Vortex Pro Lodge or Pro Resort and you will not be disappointed. Easy to set up and take down, easy to heat and lots of room.

XD650 would be my choice. Otter stuff isn’t made the way it used to be. Love my 450 but it’s no more than a 2-3 person shack. Only complaint is the wresting match of getting it back in the bag!

That’s one of the reasons I didn’t get another Eskimo the bag I had with mine was horrible and wasn’t overly impressed with the fabric the otter has been better for me so far.
