He is the best. Considering how his first 6 months of life started (locked up in a horse trailer, with 26 other dogs.) At the time we got him, i had just lost my grandpa unexpectedly, He was my best friend and hunting partner and things were really down for me.. Little did i know, i needed him (tucker) as much as he needed me. I really wasnt looking for a dog at the time, let alone one that i would train to hunt, but he loved to play fetch. So i trained for the hunting, revolving around the retrieving. Got him accustomed to gun noise and the rest has been easy. Each and every day we go out he gets better and better. Ice fishing has to wait, there are more bird hunts to get in before season ends. lol
Reminds me of my Mack who died 7 years ago. He was a rescue dog too. Unbelievable hunting dog for a mutt, he was a black lab mix of some sort and looked a lot like your tucker. I miss him a lot when fall rolls around. Hunting isn't the same without a good dog IMO.

The last couple years ive noticed a lot of the pointer guys have a couple cockers that they use to flush birds off point.
