Yes, there are several news articles out there talking about it, especially along the Missouri River corridor south of Garrison Dam.

Fun little piece of trivia, bird flu killed four out of my last five chickens in 2022.

Then my dog got the last one.

Did you bring other birds into your flock? If not where do you think they got it?

Wed. drove from Bismarck Southern NE. 2 small bunches of snow geese a little north of Pierre. Small as in one flock was about 1000 and the other maybe 2-3000 birds. In my opinion for snow geese that is not a major push. Saw no other snows, including the further south i drove. that and there was a pretty major snow event in northern NE Wed. night.

No new birds, I assume they got it from the Tweety birds that visit the coop.

The neighbor lost a bunch of birds as well from his chicken, turkey, ducks, and geese flock. It's the personification of carnage. My birds seemed fine one day, and dead the next.

I’ve heard that those birds they’re finding were all dead from late this fall. I know guys who found tons of dead ones fall fishing and ice fishing. It’s similar to the viral video that was around last spring. Search Outdoor Life. It’s been a few years now, but I remember seeing hundreds of sick and dead Canada geese in December. Eagles loved it?

There will be piles of dead ones one the white geese get here. Big storm coming next week will push them back again but might get some sheet water. Then the push will be here, right on time as usual.

Birds will make a push this Weeknd/next week into sd. Some maybe push into northern sd or near the border. Possibly see small flocks into nd. The drop in temps and potential storm will either push them back again or at least stall them where they are.

Every one thinks back country elk hunting is hard . Go chase spring snow geese in the mud setting out thousands of decoys getting your teeth kicked in watching thousands of those white son of a bitches fly by and give you the middle finger. That one day it does work it’s like crack and keeps you coming back.
Agreed "the mud!" Every April after chasing these white devils from Missouri to dakotas for weeks,my ole lady tells me I gained a few "'s went from 6'2 to 6'5 some years, dang clay/mud...asshole deep.,well knee deep at least.

Seen maybe 5 k on one of the bigger bodies of water here. Not much for water so they should get in pretty big wads in this country
