Two guides on my G Loomis NRX casting rod broke off, a couple days apart. I submitted a warranty claim, but it looks like it's going to cost about $50 to ship it to them, and then I don't know that they'll actually fix it under warranty.
I'm not afraid to DIY just about anything. For those that have done it, is it all that difficult to replace a guide? Do you have a preferred source for getting decent guides?

It is fairly easy. I have replaced many. I purchase my supplies from mudholefishing.com. There are a ton of youtube videos to walk you through the process.

Which guides are generally considered "the best"? Fuji? -- I don't want to put Temu brakes on my Ferrari.

I don't build as many casting rods as I do spin rods. I have used Fuji K series casting guides with good results. May want to try to match the profile / height of other guides.

Could dm u a guy's cell in west fargo that builds custom rods and has fixed a few for me if you don't want to tackle it on your own. Just Lmk!
I think I'm going to try it myself. Looks like minimal special equipment is involved, and I'm always up for learning a new skill.
