    New: Glo shot ice jig!

This was always the fun part of running a tackle shop, finding that balance of what will sell, what will work, and what will be around for the long run!!I see these working, selling, but dont see them being around for the long run,Ie tundra spoons, and I really liked them!! I'm really liking the looks...

    Deer feeders

I am wondering if anyone knows of a timer for the deer feeders that has memory,so when changing out batteries you dont have to reprogram your settings, not bad now but kinda a pain when she's well below zero.I have thought about solar but dont think i would get enough sun to properly charge. Also...

    .22 ammo

Yep if you had a little bit of money, you bought federal lightnings' for .59 a box,if you had a little more federal spitfires, remington yellow jackets,or the always deadly CCI stingers. We used to spend our weekly allowance on 22 shells, gophers were scarce in the yard as well as any glass bottle...

    Leaky Propane Tanks

Filled alot of propane tanks over the years, doesnt sound like the valve to me,every once and awhile would run into one like that, sometimes the gasket on fill nozzle gets worn and wont seal, even though others worked just fine. Try filling with the nozzle that screws into the inner threads,if that...

    Home secuirty systems

After 3 burglaries,I dont put alot of faith in cameras, motion sensors are the way to go,as long as you have a good response time by local pd or security provider. Why do I say this, put a mask on no positive id,cameras never seem to be in the right place for decent images, and it takes a really...

    House entry door recommendations?

I guess I have to go against the grain here.I am not a fan of mastercraft doors,I also replace several doors every year. The quality has gone down alot, the jambs are often cracked, the brickmold around the door is pieces all dovetailed together and not a solid piece, overtime it will seperate and...

I am going to try the Rage extremes this year,It's really is tough to beat the blood trail mechanicals leave.I typically carry a couple Muzzy mx3 fixed blades for shooting thru screen on groundblind and 3 Rage hypodermic for the treestand.Hoping the extremes will open a hole for the rest of the...

    A word on CO2

In addition to furnaces, stove and atomospheric waterheaters are major sources of co,but any combustible appliance is going to give off co.My job deals with worst case draft testing and combustion analasis. When checking co in flue on most ovens it is not uncommon to see levels of a couple hundred...

    arrow question

I wouldnt have arrows cut unless I have drawn and marked my arrow, not all manufactures measure drawlength from the same point on the bow.I typically cut mine 1/2" in front of riser, this assures me of no broadhead contact with the shelf or sight window, maybe not needed, but gives me piece of...

    Archery leaque

Sounds like a typical "first night" for alot of beginning archers!!Joining a club is one of the best things you can do,you will get valuable feed back from other members, this maybe form, eqipment, etc.John Dudley's nockon archery podcast' are good learning tools also,I agree with most of what he...

Best overall rod for ice fishing in nd non specific

28" medium would be my choice also, really like 13 fishing's wicked ice or if a tape on Jason Mitchell's 28"med walleye, both make good all round rods for everything except the lightest biting perch. If I were going for northerns specifically a good old ugly stik, all the feel of a broom handle but...

    Water heater question

Three years ago did a bathroom remodel, and had to replace the water heater with a bigger one, to accomodate the new hot tub.The old heater worked fine, on the side was a sticker that read guaranteed til 1975, still going strong almost 40 yrs after warranty!! Thought it was gonna wiegh as much...

    Sitka fanatic bibs/jacket

I also looked at the incinerator set, also like the idea of waterproof but thought the berber would be quieter.maybe a mix incinerator bibs, with fanatic jacket. But also like the fact incinerator jacket has a hood, really like that to keep wind off back of neck. Looking at reviews on thier site...

    Sitka fanatic bibs/jacket

Thinking about picking up the fanatic set, anyone use this stuff and is it warm enough for late season bowhunting. I spend my winters in Carhartt extremes and as long as i layer and stay active can work outside in comfort. The carhartts cant compare to my Striker climate suit while sitting on the...

    Handloading 6.5 creedmoor

Wow!, email back from savage tech, stated that when guns first came out they had a chambering issue, which they corrected but sounds like bore a little tighter than usual, but should not affect shooting, but could possibly improve it by keeping it more stable. They did offer to send in for barrel...

    Handloading 6.5 creedmoor

Actually when I said smoke I was actually using a sharpie.I did a bunch of reading on internet sites today, the pronounced ring on bullet would be bore line? And if so would that mean I have a tight spot ahead of lands, potentially robbing accuracy, although 100yd 200yd groups are very good...
